Part D Drug Negotiations through 2026

This first graphic shows the first tranche of medications selected for price negotiation in 2024, for implementation in the 2026 Part D formularies. Also note the percentage price reductions. Specific pricing for meds will depend on the particular Part D drug plan selected by the member.

The third tranche of drugs have been selected for price negotiation. Results should be available in about August 2026. Here is the list form the CMS press release::

Key Milestones to Date

On January 27, 2026, CMS announced the 15 drugs payable under Medicare Part B and/or covered under Medicare Part D selected for the third cycle of negotiations.

On March 13, 2026, CMS announced the drug companies that manufacture the 15 drugs selected for the Negotiation Program that have chosen to participate in the third cycle of the Negotiation program, along with the drug company that manufactures the one drug selected for renegotiation.

CMS sends an initial offer for each selected drug for which the drug company is participating in the Negotiation Program with CMS’ proposal for the maximum fair price and concise justification no later than June 1, 2026. The drug company will have 30 days to respond to the initial offer by accepting the offer or providing a counteroffer, if desired.
